I made this

I watched Oese's tutorial. I had this material left over from kitchen curtains my younger daughter had me make.

I had always thought miniature furniture had to be made of wood... I think I saw Contar's chairs too. But while watching "Glee" last Wednesday I started cutting out cardboard and gluing the fabric to it. I had also seen another blog that used cardboard so it was sort of a "mashup" of tutorials...
My future son in law was at a bar at the Charles Hotel in Cambridge called Noir with my daughter and he pointed out this menu and said "This might be good for your Mom's dollhouses as a screen". Is he a good catch or what?

  6. I had to blink twice to make sure it wasn't people-sized Ikea! You have the magic touch, Carol. And I think I recognize the Cow Girl Heaven backdrop...

  14. No time to make clothes, do photo shoots, post blogs. But I hope to have a new post tomorrow. Meanwhile I can't stay away from Craigslist. I just got a 1950 Traing with some period furniture on Toronto Craigslist. Whodda thunk it?
The roof is missing, but since it was originally cardboard I should be able to make a reproduction.
Meanwhile the Flagg clan is closing on on Bob & Betty.

  15. I Believe! I have 2 Triangs, one 1:12 scale and one 1:6. Thelarger came with a maroon cardboard roof that is not put together so we could make a pattern for a roof for you if it's the right model. I think Rebecca and the Shopping Sherpa know which houses are which number and there is a wedsite for Triang too! Cheers.CM

  16. Fabulous modern scene. The chair looks great and you make it sound simple but i am sure it was not!

  18. My new triang is the same house you painted silver and hung on the wall. I believe it is an early Triang 50. Other than the missing roof and the chipping paint on the front it is in excellent condition. I will do a blog on it tonight and see what comments I get.

I am enjoying your Hacienda stories.
