Oh, do I seem weighted toward modern design. That is because it seems the most cutting edge to me. The question with miniatures always is "To Twee or not to Twee". I come down on the side of design.

Maybe we just need to define what kind of "Best" we are talking about... we all know there is entertainment, and then there is perfection... to just Start the dialogue... LOL! (I personally think lists of things can't help but be subjective.... just my subjective opinion!)

ReplyDeleteI think Modern Mini House, Call of Small, 1inch minis by Kris, also should have been nominated. We should hold our own version of the competition with many different categories, like the oscars. You will win for best cinematography for MJ's visit, Megan/ Mini Dork will win for best photography, Call of the Small will win for best director of new ideas, Modern MC will win for most cutting edge designs, Jazzi will win for best global initiative, Casey will win for best script, Otterine will win for best scene design, Kris will win for best furniture tutorials, Christina O. will win for exciting new contest. I am sure I have left some blogs out, I assure you it is inadvertent.

ReplyDeleteI haven't seen who the finalists are this year although they are often different from who I would have chosen.
ReplyDeleteMore importantly, your celluloid doll on the right looks EXACTLY like one I was outbid on a couple of years ago on ebay and as a consequence my poor celluloid children remained motherless and spent their childhood in a shoebox orphanage with a matron who used them for body parts.
Now that I am up to date re finalists, I definitely agree about Kris at 1 inch minis, Neen. :-) I guess we are all so busy reading her that no-one had time to put in a nomination.
