What a fabulous idea, to show the changing inhabitants of a house through the years and different styles - your hippies look very convincing, I think and "Going to San Francisco" is the song that plays in my mind when seeing those pictures...

Love is in the air, I love this post, and I love their clothes, I remember them all :-) My new cushions from Rosanna would seem almost bland here :-)

Diepuppenstubensammlerin, Good choice of song! I forgot "be sure to wear flowers in your hair". C

Candles and insence too. Perhaps the lady of the house did needlepoint in her crafts too.

Wow! It's too much for my head, man.

Was it really 4 decades ago when we lived through this wondrous, psychedelic era? It seems like yesterday.

My heart ached with nostalgia when I looked at this post. The poncho, the tie-die t-shirt, the posters, the mattress on the floor.

I never thought of doing a Haight Ashbury dollhouse. What a great idea!

Hugs,
Susan

Well the sparse look and psychedelic posters make it easy!
Dreams, such dreams for the world. C

Very fun!!! I wish I was around to experience that era!

Thanks Miss Val. I was wondering what people born way after this period would think. C

Hey Groovy idea ! :-)

Is that Marsha Hunt in the side bar?

Definitely Twiggy and Che Guevara.

Love the sound track.

Does anyone remember Peter Starsted?

Hi Pan, Angela Davis. How about Ralph McTell? C

Oh Pan I love "Where do you go to my lovely". It was such a haunting song.I had to look it up I didn't know he wrote it. C

Peter Starsted - swooooooooooon!!

He was on Top of the Pops - all chocolatey eyes and soulful! Definitely deserves a place on the play list. :-)

My, I was two that year. ;)

I'm grooving on the poncho though! :)

Maybe you were tapping your little baby foot in your stroller to the music? C

LOL! I would not be surprised, I seem to have music in my soul. ;)

Hi Carol

Of course I looked at 1967, but I couldn't contribute to it, I'm afraid .
unfortunately , even though chronologically I'm from the same generation (the Baby Boomers- 15 at the time) but from a totally different "world" . In Israel we had war ( so what else is new) and Woodstock and Sabritzky Point and Hair were movies. Only in later years to come I learned a bit more about the period , but its hard to say I experienced it growing up.
Janice Joplin was also just in the movies, our TV was just black and white back then and the most impressive thing that happened was Niel Armstrong stepping on the moon in 1968, or was it 1969?
in 1968 I went abroad for the first time in my life - to England, sent by my parents to learn English. There I was confronted a bit by the Beatles and the Pop art and Carnaby st. But by the time I went home, landing in Tel Aviv, we realized the plane which was supposed to be El Al , was some hired plane. The original was hijacked to Algirs ( the first Israeli plane ever to be hijacked).
So we had our local excitment you see..... it's not an excuse though.
you know I love both your blogs !
Best Regards & LOVE
Neomi
