La Musee Poupee, Marais. Paris

How wonderful it is to go to a special museum with someone who shares your interest! I hear many bored spouses in restaurants discussing their unmatched museum plans over dinner.

I love this sign because the first non verbal communication of babies is those little lifted arms that say "Pick me up!"

Shale took 146 pictures and will be blogging in detail soon she tells me.

This real baby was crying in one of the galleries offering true sound effects to the scenes. A toy room is offered at the end for children to color paper dolls and to play with a basket of toys. Then this little tot was happy.
Oh yes, we visited the gift shop... more about that later. xo CM

Go to her blog to read more about this antique arcade.

My camera is full of adorable pictures of this young couple I took at our dinner, the other night and I cannot unload them till Shale gets here tomorrow, and I don't want to lose them. So these are not my original pictures. I will repost on what I find though.

So I was thinking about the Imagiant Challenge hosted by Emily Henderson

and how fun it is to watch all the creations on Flickr of variations on a miniature design,

Of course being in Paris at Christmastime means seeing Buches de Noels. (I can't do the punctuation correctly.) Usually they are  chocolate cake in the shape of a log representing the log one burns at Christmas for warmth.

I had to laugh when a small pink one caught my eye yesterday morning at my local bakery but my hostess bought croissants (which were like nothing I've ever tasted before! How do they do it?)
So as I was perusing the Paris Blog,  Paris by Mouth

http://www.heart-of-paris-hotels.com/paris-map.html?x=2.393847857142857&y=48.858999999999995
they displayed these most artistic and clever ones I've ever seen.

and I had to laugh at the creativity. I wanted to share with you. So many variations on a classic!
And now I am hungry! I think I will go start with the little local pink one. Bon appetite, CM My realitty today is eating!

Good luck Bad Luck all the world over

Bonjour from Paris! Here I am eating soupe carrotte. I think I look chic because the light is dark. I am grateful to be here in my friend's loft in the 11e arrondissement. She is home visiting her family.
My best friend Susan came through marvelously from her proceedure in Toronto. Now she is coming to join me for Christmas in Paris. More good luck. She too is an old Paris hand (sorry about the old) so we do not have to slam our visit but take it leisurely and visit favorite haunts.

I am going to stuff her with good food which is everywhere!

Here is the 11e City Hall decorated for the Holidays. Yes I almost got run over. 4 times.
Merry-go-rounds are free for Children in Paris at Christmas. I am thinking of my little assistant but she is busy with her first Christmas song fest at her school where the most important lesson is to not fall off the bleachers. Her mama went and today she gets to go to her Grandfather's office Party in her best dress.

When Susan returns to Toronto it is to a regemine of chemotherapy.
What a world we live in. What a wild ride.

Last question Modern Style Quiz

You are sitting in:

1. An Eames Chair
2. A Brocade oriental wing chair
3. At a 1950's kitchen table
4. In a rose colored painted wicker chair
5. In a cardboard chair.
6. Santa's lap... ok that doesn't count.

Score  yourself. One point for every #1 answer, 2 points for # 2,
3 points for #3 etc.

Answer key to "But what kind of Modern style am I" Quiz:

1-7      Mid century Modern
7-12     Hollywood Regency Glam
13-16   Retro/Deco
17-22   Boho-chic
23-25   Green, upcycled

It's not alway important who you are, Sometimes it's who you want to be.
Or just that you and your doll love each other. The doll in this picture belonged to my daughter, she gave it in turn to her daughter (my little assistant) and then who knows where it will travel in another 20 years?

Happy Holidays from Myrealitty.
