The cake smells so good! Yay! Nana is here!!!Nana stopped at Anthoula's Candy Store, the childrens' favorite! The toys are forgotten. Then Nana reads us a book. We are getting sleepy! it is almost naptime.
Finally we all fall asleep in our little attic room.Nana and Mama talk late into the afternoon.Nana makes Mama laugh by reminding her how much she like sweets as a little girl.
Author's note: (If my prose is simple, I think it is the influence of my reading list lately. Such as "Go dog, go" etc.)

¡Me encata cómo montas las escenas que apoyan tu historia! Y vas mostrando todas las cosas que tienes en la casa. Muy bonitas.
Besos Clara.
HI..just found your blog thru Rebecca's blog. I love your sweet Gottschalk house and the fun activity that is going on inside. I have several Gottschalk houses and love the detail and feel of a "real" house that they offer. Thanks for sharing your lovely little house! Louise from www.toysandtreasures.blogspot.com
Adorable! And your pictures are so sweet!
Has Grandpa arrived yet?
Susan
Gracias, Clara. Besos C
Louise, I agreeand am going to visit your blog. CM
Susan, Not yet. I hope he isn't pulling a Bob Flagg move... CM
i think all children love their nana!!! though these little ones look intrigued by the cakes and sweets... they probably are only allowed to have them on special occasions. lucky nana spoils them!!!
That is one of the Joys of being Nana. You can present all the joy and magic of the world without the confines of day to day muddling through. :) C
Hey Susan... by the way, What is the story about Bob Flagg? Any new developments? C and Company
Precious little story and great pics! Did your sweet little assistant help Nana with this?
Thank you Florine. In plot only. My assistant doesn't get to go anywhere near the Gottschalk. In fact I had some tynietoy furniture out in my bedroom and she started to put a doll on the bed and her aunt,( my other assistant, my daughter who is living with me) said not to touch it, "Even I don't get to touch THAT" she told the younger assistant. :) C aka Nana
when I was little my friend and I called these dolls "Jemima" dolls - adorable! Lizzie x (sometimes "serene".. but not always.. ha ha)
How on earth did you get those children to pose so well? They match your captions so well - I like the way the little yellow skirt seems to express the movement and excitement of active children as the three little ones surround the table of cakes, yet later when they are having a story read to them the same dolls really appear attentive yet sleepy!
Hi Doll Mum. The dolls were smaller than the table top so I had to raise their arms to stand them up so their clothes slightly stretched.
And they have that placid expression when you look at them straight on and it just looked to me like they were sleepy. They are somewhat expressionless. Dolls often do whatever they want though, right? C
