Charlotta arrives in San Francisco

The staff of the Mascabesa House on Nob Hill assembles to meet the new arrival.
Charlotta is a little overwhelmed by the bustling city and grand houses. It is quite a contrast to the Hacienda in Taos.
There are 2 maids, upstairs AND downstairs, a cook, a gardener and his son who runs errands, and Grandmother and Grandfather.
She doesn't know where to look first.

Hi CM, love the old postcards and photos of San Francisco. My Californian great-grandmother's grandparents arrived in San Francisco in 1850 and the 1860s, and her father in 1870 (separately from his father, the one who got there in 1850). They were civil engineers and into real estate. Look forward to seeing more of SF next month! :-)
