the comments on this post by Bradbury are good too.

OK I'm on a mural tangent. It happens...

Once I also saw an English dollhouse with a beautiful tree mural painted in it.Have you seen it? Does anyone know it? I thought it was on Flickr but can't find it. C

Hi Carol, what a great find! was the tree mural you were thinking of in Collindene, one of the houses that Dolls House Restoration worked on? http://dollshousespastandpresent.webs.com/apps/photos/album?albumid=5498051
Anyway it's a great mural - especially the original, which was different on every wall.

Hi Rebecca, if I could give an award it would be "The Rosetta Stone" award for most dollhouse knowledge. And I'd give it to you.I LOVE that one and want to know it's history, but I'm haunted by this other one, it had running branches and was painted and new in an antique styled house. C

Sorry I don't know but I hope you find it because I would love to see it.

Thanks Rebecca - I had not seen that - shall have a look.

A happy weekend to you both :-)

CM, this is probably not the one you are thinking of, but definitely worth looking at...

It's Susan Grimshaw's Tynietown website, click on My Collections and scroll down to the 1976 Robertson-Lynnfield House to check the murals on the walls of the dining room. I love this house! I think you will enjoy the rest of her collection too!

That is wonderful, I LOVE Tynietoy, but no that's not it... it was maybe by an Englishman, and he didn,t have a big collection... C

I can't recall ever seeing the house you might be referring to.

the only person I know of off the top pf my head who paints murals inside dollhouses is Grazhina of New England Miniatures.

Even if she isn't' the person you are looking for her blog is a delightful read.
